THIS vs THAT | A Possible MAC Chromagraphic NC15/NW20 Dupe?

Ages ago I wrote a post about nude liners, and how I still hadn't found a decent dupe for my beloved MAC Chromagraphic Pencil in NC15/NW20. Given that it is a MAC Pro product, and my local MAC Pro store has been out of a it for a good solid 3 months, I was feeling the urge to find a decent dupe again...

The Rimmel Scandaleyes Pencil mentioned in my original post just didn't cut it for me, it was too peachy for waterline use which is what I really wanted it for. I was beginning to think it was impossible to find a nude liner that met all the criteria for me: smooth and soft enough to glide on the water line, a pale neutral flesh tone, shimmer free and relatively easy to get my hands on. Then I stumbled across the NYX Wonder Pencils completely by fluke, I didn't even think to look at the NYX display, and behold there they were and in three different shades to choose from, just like MAC!

So for under $6 I grabbed the palest one thinking it looked pretty close swatched on my hand and I'll let the swatches speak for themselves: it is really really close with the MAC pencil being just the slightest bit more yellow. I put the two to the test, and the NYX lasted a surprisingly long time on my waterline, definitely comparable to the wear time of the MAC pencil. It also layers on top of itself beautifully for touch ups.

Final thoughts? Hello DUPE ALERT! I couldn't be more thrilled to find this at under a third the cost of the MAC Chromagraphic Pencil which is so hard to get my paws on! If you haven't tried a nude liner I highly recommend it, nothing makes eyes look more awake especially coming into allergy season! They are also super handy to have for pin point concealing blemishes (yep, you're gonna want another pencil strictly for blemishes if that's the case, good thing these are a bargain!)

Have you tried either of these liners before? What re your thoughts on nude eyeliner?
