Ooooh that sounds so dramatic doesn't it?? Peer Pressure!? I assure you I am not writing this post about the seriousness of doing things because others say you should, but rather about the influence of other's options when it comes to the beauty world.
I mean, what would we be without a great recommendation every now and then? We would have drawers full of makeup, potions and lotions that we never use. Wait, who's kidding who here? I already have drawers full... but all thought out and researched purchases, I swear! ;-)
Lately I have been getting so many amazing recommendations from some of my favourite bloggers and YouTubers. Call it the change of season, watching too many May and June Favourites videos or reading too many What's on my Face blog posts, but I have gone a bit crazy with the hauling lately!
So naturally, I have to share all these gems with you all, and possibly inspire some revelations of your own!

As you might tell already judging from this post, I've been dabbling in peach makeup lately thanks to some lovely ladies mentioned. Stila's Gerbera has already garnered a few comments from strangers ( I kid you not, I was in the store the other day when another shopper stopped to ask what was on my cheeks. I just marched her right over to the Stila display as if I worked there myself!) Bonus points? It can be used on lips too!
For lips, I tend to stick to my normal comfort zone of pinky peaches and rose hues, but when I saw Lily and Tanya both use Clinique's Chubby Stick Intense in Heftiest Hibiscus, I knew I needed to try it, and I am so glad I bit the bullet. The formula on the "intense" versions of Clinique Chubby Sticks is far superior to the original formula in my humble opinion. Smooth and creamy with plenty of colour payoff, giving you the option for a full out pout, or blended in with your finger a bit for a just bitten look.
I new I need the Origins Drink Up Intensive Mask after hearing Estee, Lily and Anna all rave about it. After my allergic reaction last week, my skin could use some serious hydration, and this mask smells good enough to eat (but dont!) I love the fact that it can be slathered on at night and then left to do its work.
Being a HUGE fan of the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfecter, when I saw Zoe, Louise and Lily chat over on the DailyMix channel about Clarins offering an Instant Light Complexion Perfecter, I immediately put it on my shopping list. I picked up Rose Shimmer, which isn't overly rosy, and can impart the loveliest subtle glow (no disco ball action here folks!) Mix it with your base, apply underneath base or on its own, or dab on cheekbones to highlight.
Finally, and possibly the one purchase I told myself over and over I didn't need, but then did - Diorskin Nude BB Creme. Now lets not get into the "real" BB cream vs high end BB cream discussion. I've tried them both, I have opinions on both. Right now though, I am digging Dior's offering. It goes on uber light weight, doesn't stay too dewy, but not flat matte, and is completely buildable.
Thanks to Estee, Lily and Anna ...again (seriously ladies, you are creating a riff between me and my wallet!)
What purchase have you made lately because of a review you saw/read online? What products are you raving about right now?
