This weekend wasn't much of a weekend really for me. As I have mentioned when you work for yourself every day is pretty much a work day. Since I knew I needed to get orders by deadline, I was mostly stuck around the house. The results of this? A fuss free face. Pair that with a much needed hair cut ( it had been 6 months since my last!) and that was all I needed to feel put together!
On days when I want to look polished and put together, but stay completely low maintenance I will usually reach for a BB cream. My current love is the Diorskin Nude BB Cream in 02, which I mix a little of the Clarins Instant Complexion Perfecter in Rose Shimmer for that extra radiance.
I'll dab a multi tasking product like Stila's Convertible Color Cream in Gerbera across the apples of my cheeks and lips, and swipe on a cream shadow that sets and then stays all day like Benefit's Creaseless Cream Shadow in Skinny Jeans, which is a gorgeous pewter that can be built up easily from subtle to smokey. Of course, one thing I never skip, ever, is curling my lashes with my beloved Shu Uemura Lash Curler and them pop on a coat of my current mascara, Cover Girl Lash Blast Waterproof.
One thing I did manage to get out of the house for was a hair trim, it had been six months since my last! ( I know I know, I need regular trims, but have you seen the price of haircuts these days??) Since I have been loving my length (the picture couldn't fit all my strands in, then hang a couple more inches) I asked for just a clean up on the layers to get rid of the frazzled bits and perk things up a bit. I even chit chatted a bit about possibly getting going the ombre route, but I am not sure I am ready to commit to adding a new colour to my hair ( its been about 6 years since there was any colour in there).
What do you all think? To ombre or not to ombre? Can I pull it off? Is it still en vogue to go the ombre route ( not that I have ever been the peek of fashion anyways)
