See what I did there? In the title? #sorrynotsorry.
Setting sprays and I have kind of a on and off relationship - I love the idea of them but rarely find they translate on to my dry dehydrated skin the way I wish. After falling in love with a spray primer this month, I decided to give them another go and picked up this gem and I'm not regretting it for a second. Best part? It's about half the price of other setting sprays I've tried.
The L'oreal Infallible Makeup Extender Setting Spray is the newest offering from the brands range of long lasting products, and I can honestly say my makeup does stay looking fresher longer with this. The combo of my Smashbox Primer Water Spray pre base and this post base makes for an amazingly long lasting cocktail. With other setting sprays (Urban Decay for one) I found my skin almost felt like I'd sprayed it with hairspray, which did nothing for the slightly dehydrated texture of my skin. This one doesn't feel like that (you know that 'don't raise your eyebrows incase your entire face crackles into millions of pieces' feeling?) and becomes completely undetectable on the skin minutes after application. Another thing I should mention is that this has possibly the best mister nozzle I have ever used on a setting spray; the spritz is so even and so fine and doesn't leave me with raindrops of product on my face.
On the price point, I mention in the title that it wont set you back too much, and that is because for a drugstore product this would be classed as slightly higher in price (retailing for $14-$17 CND for 3.4 fl oz - thought I got mine on sale for $9.99 which is a total bargain!). Having said that, this still sells for about half the price of higher end options, and having tried it I can honestly say it is worth paying full price retail for.
Have you tried setting sprays? Which one is your favourite?
