I'm starting to like this thing where I pick one of my favourite or most worn looks from the last week or two and break it down in a post for you all! This weeks #FridayFace feature is a look based on neutrals with a peek-a-boo of coral on the eyes. Here's how I get this simple nude look with a bit of a twist.
Starting with base, I've been opting for my super lightweight Diorskin Nude BB Creme, which offers more coverage than your average BB cream, but sets up nicely without the need for powder, which is so nice this time of year.
I've then been going in with my NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette to sculpt some cheekbones where there are none, using the shade second from the right of the palette in the hollows and the champagne shades highlight on the tops of my cheekbones. Then I stipple on ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in Trickery to add a bit of peachy pink to the apples of my cheeks, to bring it all together.
*TIP: Blush is a must when contouring to keep things from looking harsh and unnatural.
On the eyes I've been swiping on some of the ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in Shark Bait, a golden shimmer laced coral, on my lids with my finger and then diffusing the edges. Then instead of traditional liner, I've been smudging NARS Mekong Shadow (a rich deep chocolate with gold shimmer) along my lash line and into the roots of my lower lashes as well about a third of the way in to keep from making my eyes look smaller.
Mascara top choice has been lashings of the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara, which gives more lift that most non waterproof mascara's I've come by, and doesn't smudge on my lower lashes either!
Finally to complete the look I've been swiping on the NYX Lipstick in Pumpkin Pie, which is a warm barely pinked peach nude with a creamy formula that is comfortable on the lips!
