June was an insanely busy month around here, so the makeup was all about easy, put together, stay on all day looks that I could do in limited time. We also had a spike in temperature in Vancouver, with record breaking temps in the last few days, so suncare played a super important role. It was a month of reaching for what works and is easy and going with it, so here are the six products that made heavy rotation...
The NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette - Just when I said I was so beyond done with the contouring craze, I get my hands on this bad boy. It just makes the whole process so easy, and blends so nicely, that I realize how much more put together I feel when my non existent cheekbones come out to play.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone - A little glow in a bottle is a dry skinned girl's best friend, and this one is a refined sheen rather than a frosty metallic which is more forgiving. I mean heck, I'm not 20 anymore! I love to tap it on cheekbones (again thank you NYX palette!) or mix a dab in with my foundation.
NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny - I actually love this for bronzing up my decollete and body! I get a fluffy kabuki brush and dust it on the tops of my shoulders, collarbone and chest to fake a bit more colour and it works beautifully! Best part is you can grab it under $5 at the drugstore!
Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade in Ash Brown - Remember how I mentioned the heat wave we're having? The last thing I need is my brows melting off half way through the day. The horror! This brow pomade sets waterproof and is a nice ashy brown that doesn't carry any red in it. It can be a bit tricky to get the hang of, but once you do your brows will thank you!
MAC Lustre Lipstick in RazzleDazzler - I posted about my recent lipstick love in this post last week, so I won't drone on but to say: a gorgeous peach I can no longer be without.
Clarins Sunscreen Care Oil Free Lotion SPF 15 - The smell of this stuff just screams summer to me! it's kind of a love or hate smell, but it reminds me of old time sunscreen from my childhood, mixed with the beach and I adore it. Besides the scent, it wears really nicely sinking in quickly minus the greasy feel many spray sunscreens carry. This is an SPF I actually enjoy putting on.
