Let's start from the beginning with cleansing. You all know I'm an avid reader of Caroline Hirons blog, and before I started reading it I would have thought double cleansing was a total waste. Now I'm a sworn advocate of it. I use The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter to remove every stitch of my makeup by taking a small dollop and massaging it into my skin and then removing with a hot cloth. I then go in with a gentle cleanser to actually clean the skin, and for this I prefer the Clinique Redness Solutions Soothing Cleanser. It's a cream texture that leaves my skin soft and soothed.
After cleansing I like to acid tone and my favourite is the Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner on a Shiseido Facial Cotton (I swear no cotton rounds will feel soft once you've tried these) This step balances the ph in my skin, gets rid of dull flaky bits, combats blackheads and leaves my skin ready to absorb the next step of products.
At this point, I am wanting to put some moisture back into the skin, so I opt for a serum first, and my favourite is Indeed Labs Hydraluron, followed by my Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado (which I stupidly forgot to photograph) and Origins Make A Difference Plus Rejuvenating Moisturizer which seals the whole deal in, leaving my skin feeling clean, plump and radiant the next day.
My absolute last step (besides brushing my teeth and a healthy coat of Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm) before bed is applying my Rapidlash Eyelash Serum, which I've used on and off for years to keep my lashes conditioned and long.
Do you use any of these products in your evening routine?
