Sunday Steal | Essence Liquid Lipsticks

Essence Liquid Lipstick Review and Swatch
I've got such a nice little Sunday Steal for you all this week, because the Essence Liquid Lipsticks* are little gems that can be picked up for about $3.50 at your local drugstore or Ulta! I was lucky enough to be sent these, and my first impression was that the 6 shade range was all incredibly wearable colour-wise. When you hear the term 'liquid lipstick' you expect great pigment and coverage like you would get out of a traditional lipstick bullet, so naturally I was eager to put them to the test to see if they performed they was they claimed!

Keep reading to see why I think L'oreal knocked it out of the park again...

Stila Kitten Eyeshadow Swatch and Review

My love of Stila's Kitten Eyeshadow came about many, many years ago. If you read this post, you might even remember that it was the first purchase I ever made from Sephora. Since then it has become somewhat of a staple in my makeup wardrobe that has stood the test of time - and has gained a bit of a cult classic status for the brand (not surprisingly).

Cleansing Balms: NUDE, Oskia, The Body Shop, Emma Hardie, Omorovicza

Something that's come as a bit of a skincare epiphany to me in the last couple of years is the world of balm cleansers. So here are five different types of balm cleanser that get my approval, and which I reach for when...

Aerin Gardenia Rattan | The Scent That Might Remind You of Your Grandmother (in the best possible way!)

Aerin Gardenia Rattan Eau de Parfum Fragrance review

I recently got the chance to try some bits from the Aerin range and one of the products that stood out the most was the Gardenia Rattan Eau de Parfum Spray*.  The bottle is utterly gorgeous with its gold accents and jade top cap, but that wasn't the first thing I noticed about it. Instead I took an initial sniff and immediately had memories of my grandmother as a kid wearing a scent that had similar notes. So much so I called my mother to mention it. Naturally the first time she smelled it she said, "oh yeah, that's her alright!"

So needless today say, todays Friday Face is a little Charlotte heavy, with some tried and trues to bring it all together.

Make Up For Ever Goes Ultra HD for 4K

make up for ever ultra hd foundation 4k video review

With 4K video becoming more and more accessible it was only a matter of time before a cosmetic line started creating products for even higher definition. It's no surprise to me that Make Up For Ever was the line that hopped on that bandwagon first, given their original HD Foundation formula was one of the first in its market when originally released. Now the brand has revamped their cult classic, which naturally I had to try...

The One Sweep and You're Done Shadow | Clarins Ombre Iridescente in 01 Aquatic Rose

In fact it's quickly made it into my 'One Sweet and You're Done' pile... more on that below...

The Repurchase Edit | Beauty Products I Apparently Can't Be Without

I've noticed a bit of a pattern in my purchases lately. Certain products have just made it into the 'forever repurchase' category and my last shopping trip was entirely fill with said products.
