August 2015 Beauty Favourites

August 2015 Beauty Favourites Charlotte Tilbury, Urban Decay, NUDE, Dior, Oskia

You know that thing where you blink and the Summer is over? No? Just me? Well that's how it's felt this Summer, because with September 1st here, so its the drizzling rainy Vancouver weather and it suddenly feels like Autumn is moment away. While August was a particularly busy month for me, I did have some wonderful finds when it comes to beauty, and most of them are new to me products I tried for this first time last month!

The Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette - a total surprise hit for me, I really didn't think it would be the type of colours I would gravitate towards. Now that I've worn it several times, I actually think this is one of the most versatile Naked Palettes yet with its fantastic balance of light and dark as well as shimmer and matte. I've done a full review with swatches of the Naked Smokey Palette.

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel - Certainly not new, but new to me. I can fully agree with everyone that has touted this stuff as amazing, because it truly is. It has balm-gel hybrid like texture that just melts onto the skin and leaves your face feeling smooth, calm and nourished. I am loving this as a morning cleanse, or second cleanse at night after using a makeup remover.

Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow - I really went back and forth on this one when I first tried it out; I just wasn't sure it was actually doing anything. Then the weather started to change, and my skin started to feel a little dull and drab and I truly noticed the true glory of this product. Charlotte boasts that Wonder Glow is her 'youth elixir' and I get see why, because it gives skin a gorgeous glow minus sparkle and it sinks into the skin utterly weightless like a serum. No pore emphasizing illumination here, this stuff just makes your skin look like it's best version of itself.

NUDE ProGenius Omega Treatment Rescue Oil - Possibly one of the lightest weight oils I've tried! It claims to repair and refine the texture of your skin, and I would wholeheartedly agree with that. I can truly noticed a difference in the morning when I apply this the night before; My skin is smoother, even in tone and more radiant. I would say this is one of the few skincare products I've tried that I've noticed results almost immediately.

Charlotte Tilbury 'Charlotte's Magic Cream' - Oh. My. Goodness. How did I live without this in my life? The feel is gorgeous, the smell is divine and the look of my skin? Plump, youthful, radiant, smooth.... shall I go on? It's good... really really good. Expect an in depth review soon!

Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara - Now I didn't intend on this being the Charlotte show around here, but her products are just that good. She's developed each product over and over until she's 150% happy with it and it really shows. It's probably no surprise I love this product, I reviewed the Full Fat Lashes a while back, and it's made an appearance in every instagram look I've posted since.

Dior Star Foundation - I've loved this since it was first released. Everytime I catch myself in a mirror and think "damn that looks good" I am wearing this foundation. It's never gathered in fine lines, caked up on dry patches, or oxidized a funny colour on me, which is tough to find as a dry skinned girl. I reviewed Dior Star Foundation back when it was released here.

There were some seriously amazing products in August's line up, what was your favourite beauty product?
