Getting the Glow | Tanning Innovations from Hylamide and St Tropez

Hylamide Glow Booster and St Tropez Luxe Facial Oil
There's been some serious innovations going on in the faux glow world as of late. Orange skin and tell tale tanner smell are becoming a thing of the past and we're moving into formulas that develop faster, last longer and look more natural. I for one am always interested in adding a little glow, and there have been two recent additions to my face self tanning routine that stand apart from traditional tanning products.

For when I am wanting to add colour relatively quickly,  I've been reaching for my St Tropez Self Tan Luxe Facial Oil, which is a bit of a surprising hit for me. I've never been a fan of St Tropez for facial tanning products before (love the mousse on my body but it does horrible things to my sensitive face). The idea of a tanning oil seems counterintuitive to me; Generally you would want to avoid products with oil when using a tanning product. This however glides on with a super lightweight texture that really doesn't even feel much like an oil and then develops overnight into a golden hue. Half a pipette from this beautiful frosted glass bottle does my whole face and neck and leaves the perfect amount of colour. A full pipette gives me a tan that has people asking if I've gone away for the weekend.
Another unique product in the facial tanning world is the Hylamide Glow Radiance Booster* which is applied for your serum stage of your skincare routine, and uses a peptide technology, with raspberry keto-sugar that reacts with the skin for natural glow, minus DHA! This actually feels like water when you put it on your skin, but don't let it fool you into thinking you don't have to wash hands! Even though this is a more gradual option that the oil mentioned, I definitely gave myself golden palms last week using it. My bad.

While the St. Tropez is something I reach for one or two nights a week, the Hylamide can be applied several days in a row, morning or night. Both products have made comfortable on my bathroom counter in the last month and neither leave that fake tan funky smell we all know but don't love. Also, while I've struggled finding tanners for my face that actually do the job, but don't wreck my sensitive skin, these fit right into my routine nicely and my skin hasn't rebelled once!
