I love my fancy makeup brushes as much as the next makeup lover, but occasionally I like to reach for products that I can pat, press and swipe on with my finger tips (usually when I'm in a rush or need that extra 10 minutes of sleep!). I've discovered a few products in my collection now that I actually prefer to use with fingers for the look it leaves, so if you're the type that doesn't want to invest in brushes, or finds them a pain to use, this post is for you!
It Cosmetics CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream*
The thicker texture of this cream base definitely benefits from being massaged on and then pressed into the skin. The warmth of your hands will help the richer formula melt into the skin whereas a brush just kind of moves it around your face. I love this for an easy base that covers plenty but still has a fantastic SPF in it, thus eliminating a whole step in my routine!
Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize Cream Shadows*
I love these little pots of whipped mousse like shadow! You can totally apply these with a brush for a diffused look, but if you want more punch to them, then pat on with your finger and smudge out.
Colourpop Super Shock Shadows
Another gem for when you're in a rush - these cream/powder hybrid shadows pack serious pigmentation and pat on almost fully opaque. I love to pat one on the lid and then smudge under the lash line for a monochrome shadow look.

Kat Von D Metal Crush Shadow in Thunderstruck
This is the case of a specific shade looking best when applied with fingers. When I first bought this, I felt it was kind of 'meh' until I tried patting it on my lid and had a serious WOW moment. packing the shadow on means you really get that peachy golden duochrome that makes this so sensational. Now if only Sephora would get it back in stock...

Laura Mercier Secret Concealer for Under Eye*
I love to take this travelling with me, because it has a peachy undertone making it great for dark circles, but it also melts with your finger right into that delicate skin under your eyes. I prefer a brush for most concealers, but the thicker texture of this really responds better to hands instead.
L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush
I'm sure you're all sick of hearing about this one, but it is my ultimate in a rush eye look! I never use a brush with this, rather just swirl my finger in the pot and pat away until I have gorgeous rose gold lids that make me look like I tried on my tiredest of mornings. Easily my favourite drugstore find possibly ever...I know, that's high praise!{read my review here} {available on Amazon and Ulta}
