In the last month I found myself loving several products that I had loved at one time and then for whatever reason moved on from. This is probably due to "must try all the new products syndrome" - it's an illness I swear. After one or two, "oh yeah I forgot I loved this!" moments, I went on a bit of hunt and next thing I knew I'd pulled out five amazing products from my stash that I don't know why I ever put away in the first place!
I also find when I am tired that it is important to get a super dark dramatic mascara on my lashes to make my eyes come alive. I had forgotten that I had a brand new tube of Benefit's Roller Lash Mascara in my stash, which in turn I had also forgotten how much I was impressed by it originally. Turns out this still does the same amazing job of lengthening, volumizing and holding a curl, which is a total necessity when you're looking and feeling tired! {Read my original review of Benefit Roller Lash Mascara}
When it comes to getting a fuss free base that holds up all day and makes me look alive again, I've been reaching for my trusty Make Up For Ever Face and Body Foundation. With one of the most unique textures in the industry, this stuff feels like you're blending water into your skin, and then settles down to a beautiful skin-like finish that gets my those, "wow you've got gorgeous skin" compliments. {Read my original review of Make Up For Ever Face and Body}
I've been back into contouring a bit as well, because cheekbones = false sense of being ready to take on the day. I had forgotten how much I adored my NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette for an easy fix to contouring and highlighting. With several shades in various warm and cool tones, as well as matte and shimmer textures, this bad boy has you covered and even doubles as eyeshadow in a pinch! If you're not into having the whole palette, the NYX Blush in Taupe does the job. {Read my original review of the NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette and Taupe Blush}
