Girl on the Train by paula Hawkins, Shopaholic to the Stars by Sophie Kinsella, Pretty Honest by Sali Hughes

I thought it might be fun to take a step away from my usual beauty banter and talk about some of the pages I've been turning lately. At any given time I have about 13 books on the go, but these three are hanging around on my windowsill by my desk taunting me to read them.

Pretty Honest by Sali Hughes was something I wanted to pick up the minute it was released (and I read about it over on Caroline Hirons blog). Sali has over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, and Pretty Honest is a entertaining and very real account of the ins and outs of the industry. It's a true beauty bible that I can see myself picking up and rereading and referencing for years to come.

Shopaholic to the Stars by Sophie Kinsella  - I've loved the Shopaholic series since the first book was release waaaay back when, and now I simply just have to buy whenever a new one is released. The character of Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood) is in a little bit of all of us - the way she justifies purchases and the greater "necessities" of life is totally entertaining, and all too familiar sounding. I've not read a single book in this series that hasn't made me laugh out loud.

Girl On the Train by Paula Hawkins was something my friend was so excited to get her hands on she preordered it after reading an article about the story! So naturally, I knew I 'needed' it as well. Words like 'chilling' 'thrilling' and 'edge of your seat' were being thrown out, so I knew I'd love it. I'll be starting on it this week!
