SUMMER WARDROBE STAPLES

I've treated myself to a little shopping recently, and found some pieces I know will be staples in my wardrobe all summer long. Amongst essentials are big sunnies, denim, a long maxi skirt (loving the pattern on this and its partially lined so no one sees the bits you don't want showing off, but then nice and lightweight for the summer swelter) my forever complimented mint Chucks, a whole-y crocheted sweater to toss over tanks (oh and a million tanks in all colours!)

What are your must haves fashion wise for this summer? I'm going for that comfy chic, I look effortlessly put together look. We'll see how that works out...

GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD | Worth the Hype?

There has been so much hype about the GlamGlow products in the last few months. It seems I can't watch a beauty favourites video on YouTube without this product being mentioned, and given the $76 CAD price tag, I really had my doubts. So, naturally when a product has been this hyped up, I had to try it for myself, and thanks to some nasty hormonal breakouts on my chin I had just the reason to. Here's some thoughts...

It's officially Summer in this part of the world, and my favourite time of year to rock a bright lip. I thought I'd pick three of my favourite ways to wear colour, and promise there is something for even the tentative bright lip lover. 

WINGING IT | Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner

You know what "they" say right? Never ask a girl with winged liner why she's late. 

I love me a good flick of liner, but brush + pot of gel liner = time I don't always have. Plus, it seems like every time I'm in the mood for some dramatic liner all my liner brushes are dirty (note to self, wash brushes more often!) So imagine my excitement when I heard about an innovative new product that combined the look and texture of gel/cream liner, with the convenience of a pen applicator. Perfect, right? BRONZED | My Go To Products for a Summer Glow

Something I have become quite old hand at if I do say so myself, is self tanning. I can remember nights bathing in biscuity smelling Coppertone tanning cream when I was 16 hoping to look like I'd just stepped away from a weekend in the tropics. The results were less then stellar usually, but a good learning experience no doubt. I'm sure Coppertone has come a long way with tanners, and so have I; Here's my picks for best bronzed glow with the least chance of the dreaded Oompa Loompa Syndrome. 

FLOPS | 5 Beauty Let Downs for May 2014

A little something new this month, I am adding in the addition of the products I tried and didn't like/found disappointing. I don't necessarily think of this as a negative thing, because not everything works for everyone, but I like to hear WHY certain products don't work for others, to help aid my shopping addiction choices.
