I'm sure you've heard the term "strobing' plenty in the last year, heck I even have a full post on it here. So I'm not surprised that rather than just marketing them as your standard highlighter, the Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Powders* have been launched in four shades, and marketed as both wet and dry to appeal to everyone as subtle to 'seen from space' glow factor. I received the shades Brilliant and Iridescent to try out and have been amping up the sheen to test these bad boys out.

Battling Sensitive Skin with Aveeno Skin Relief
3.27.2016
Growing up, Aveeno was a mainstay in our household. The entire family had skin sensitivity issues from Keratosis Pilaris, Psoriasis to Eczema, and careful thought was always put into what products we used. As an adult, I've still struggled with extremely dry, sometimes itchy skin and Aveeno has held up it's end of the bargain to keep things soothed, hydrated and soft. I've partnered up with AVEENO® Skin Relief to spotlight three products I've used and enjoyed when it comes to sensitive, sometimes irritable skin.

This Just In : Tata Harper Purifying Mask
3.25.2016
I was recently asked if i wanted to try the newest offering from skincare goddess Tata Harper, and naturally I answered with a quick, "heck yeah!". Geared as a deep cleansing detox treatment, the Tata Harper Purifying Mask was exactly what I needed last week when my skin decided to rebel on me. So, I slathered the rosy-pink mask on my face and put it to work, all the while taking notes for you all!

Five Favourites : Bronzers
3.24.2016
The sun is finally starting to show it's face around here in Vancouver, which immediately has me switching into Spring/Summer mode when it comes to my makeup. While I wear bronzer all year round (let's get real, I need all the warmth I can get for my complexion!) but I get a bit more consistent and serious about it this time of year. Here's 5 of my favourite bronzing powders, and the reasons why I love each one...
Becca Aqua Luminous Foundation Review
3.22.2016
It's definitely been a year for very liquid, serum-style foundations. When I heard Becca's Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation was one of the latest in the lineup, I was super excited. After all, Becca are the queens of glow, and the name 'Aqua Luminous' made it sound heaven sent for my dry skin! After putting it to the test for the last few weeks, I definitely have some thoughts on this, so keep reading for my review...
Beauty Rediscoveries : 5 Products I'm Loving, Again
3.21.2016
In the last month I found myself loving several products that I had loved at one time and then for whatever reason moved on from. This is probably due to "must try all the new products syndrome" - it's an illness I swear. After one or two, "oh yeah I forgot I loved this!" moments, I went on a bit of hunt and next thing I knew I'd pulled out five amazing products from my stash that I don't know why I ever put away in the first place!
The Ultimate Gloss? | Dior's Addict Ultra-Gloss Review & Swatch
3.18.2016
I wouldn't have named this blog Girl Loves Gloss if I didn't in fact, love me a little gloss every now and then. When the release for the new Dior Addict Ultra-Glosses made it's way to my desk I was instantly excited to give them a try. Claiming to be a hydrating, plumping and barely-there in texture gloss hybrid, these definitely had some big claims - but are they the ultimate lip gloss?

Sleeping Beauty | Products That Go To Work While You Don't Have To
3.16.2016
It all started a few years back with the Origins Drink Up-Intensive Overnight Mask, a mango-scented balmy mask that you slather on and then hit the sheets only to wake up to hydrated radiant skin. Before that, I slathered whatever moisturizer I put on for day use on at night, which while great for hydration, wasn't doing anything else for my skin. Since then I've had a full love affair with products that work the graveyard shift, and today's post has six of them.
This Just In | Stila's Aqua Glow Serum Foundation
3.14.2016
With the serum foundation craze not losing any steam in the last year, I've had so many formulas cross my desk. In fact over the last couple of weeks I've had three on rotation for testing, and so far the Stila Aqua Glow Serum Foundation is by far my favourite! If you've got dehydrated, dry or textured skin you might want to keep reading...
BIotherm Biosource Balm to Oil Cleanser
3.10.2016
It's not overly common to find cleansing balms on drugstore shelves. Whilst cleansing oils have made it into some of the more affordable lines (though watch the ingredient list - many of them seem to have pore closing mineral oil as a first ingredient) balms are still a ways behind it seems. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled across the new Biotherm Biosource Balm to Oil Deep Cleanser and Makeup Remover! Naturally I had to put it to the test and see if it rivalled my other favourite balms! Keep reading for my review to see how this clocks in compared to my favourite bargain buy, and my have luxury cleanser.

Helping Hand | Beauty Products Best Applied with Your Fingers
3.07.2016
I love my fancy makeup brushes as much as the next makeup lover, but occasionally I like to reach for products that I can pat, press and swipe on with my finger tips (usually when I'm in a rush or need that extra 10 minutes of sleep!). I've discovered a few products in my collection now that I actually prefer to use with fingers for the look it leaves, so if you're the type that doesn't want to invest in brushes, or finds them a pain to use, this post is for you!

February 2016 Beauty Favourites
3.02.2016
It's about time I did a monthly beauty favourites post - I missed last months when I was suffering from the cold from hell for a couple of weeks. You'd think I would have two months worth of favourites, but this month was about simplistic looks, glowing skin and easy to use products. It's a great mix of new and oldies but goodies including a new ultra luxe lip balm and a mainstay foundation I never want to be without!
