Becca Cosmetics was created to fill a gap in the market for skin perfecting products that creating a flawless finish, whilst still enhancing ones natural radiance and beauty. Born out of Perth, Australia by makeup artist Rebecca Morrice Williams, Becca has become known as the brand for effortless glowing skin all over the world. The brand also doesn't test on animals, nor do any of their manufacturers or suppliers.

When it comes to getting that radiant glow we all want Becca is the brand to beat, with its cult status, trademarked Shimmering Skin Perfector range that now comes in three different formulas (the original Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid, Pressed and Poured). There's something for everyone; The pressed offers a bolder, more high shimmer option, while the poured version offers a buildable glow for those who struggle with texture issues or dry skin, and the liquid offers a more refined glow versus shimmer that can be worn alone or mixed with foundation. The newest addition to the range is the limited edition Jaclyn Hill collaboration Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop*, a unique golden peach that doubles as an eyeshadow (been there, done that. It's gorgeous). I've written a review of Champagne Pop recently, including swatches of the highly coveted product.

I've also become a huge fan of the Becca's newest offering to help get perfect skin - the Backlight Priming Filter*. This hybrid primer-luminizer works beautifully to get skin a radiant and even canvas before makeup, as well as has and incredible dewy sheen that peaks through makeup just enough to give that youthful luminosity, minus shimmer. You can read my review Becca's Backlight Priming Filter in this post,  I have no doubt it will soon join the ranks of some of the other offerings from Becca and take on a cult classic status.

While we're speaking of unique products, we should probably talk about patent pending The One Perfecting Brush*, which the brand claims you can use start to finish, primer to powder. Super soft bristles with a blunt 3.5 inch width can buff in cream, liquid or powder products for an airbrushed finish. I won't lie, I was super skeptical about this brush folks, and while I can't see myself reaching for it to do everything in my routine, turns it out it is actually pretty awesome. I love using the edge of the brush to contour, and the flat top to buff a final once over to get everything looking super blended and flawless.

So what would I personally skip? I found the Shadow & Light Brow Contour Mousse* didn't hold up the expectations I had in terms of long wear and smudge resistance. I wanted something more neutral in tone (the brown was too warm, and the highlight was strangely pink which just made my brow bone look puffy and irritated). I also wasn't a fan of the Under Eye Brightening Corrector, which I personally found much too pink on my light-medium skin tone and the pearly finish didn't brightening my under eye area like I am assuming it was aimed to. Hey, they can't all be hits!

And what's next on my Becca Wishlist? The new Ombre Rouge Eyeshadow Palette looks absolutely stunning and beautifully wearable. I've also  been dying to get my hands on the Mineral Blush in Flowerchild for ages now. It always seems to be sold out, which can only mean good things!

What are your favourites from this gorgeously curated Aussie line? What should I try next?
