Tatcha is a brand I've started to hear plenty about in the blogger circuit, namely the
Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, which has gained a bit of a cult following recently. Up until using it, I assumed it was just another setting spray like so many on the market, but this folks is really something special!
First and foremost, can we just have a moment where we enjoy the glorious packaging? Made in Japane and inspired by Japan's Geisha and their stunning skin and ritualistic approach to skincare, the bottle that the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist comes in is stunning all on its own. Housed in a glass mist-top bottle with an ombre purple hue and gold detailing, it certainly looks as luxurious as the price suggests.
Moving on to the good stuff - the product inside the pretty bottle. This is sold as an anytime mist of hydration. Containing squalane, red algae, and HADASEI-3™ bioactive complex, it's basically jammed packed full of antioxidants and free radical fighting ingredients, minus the use of parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, synthetic fragrance or sulfates.
While the brand says it can be used under or over makeup, I will whole heartedly say this really works brilliantly over makeup if you are wanting that dewy skinned glow. Dry skinned girls, this one is for you! Two spritzes after I'd accidently overdone it on the foundation/powder gave me fresh, radiant complexion. You might be tempted to give yourself a bit of a shower in this stuff, but at the price I'd warn you a little really does go a long way. I over sprayed one day and went from dewy to glistening in a blink of an eye. Thankfully the pump alots out a very fine mist that releases just the right amount of product, making me feel slightly better about this pricey little gem. Oh, and because I know you might wonder: yes my makeup did hold up beautifully when using this to set it, just as other well-proven setting sprays would extend the life.
If you've got the coin to spend, fancy yourself a special treat or really struggle with dry/dehydrated complexion, then the Luminous Dewy Skin Mist might just fulfill your needs. It's one of those products I didn't know I needed, until I tried it.
