The Best in Beauty for September 2015

Make Up For Ever Brow Gel, Charlotte Tilbury Rock n Kohl Magic Cream, IT Cosmetics CC Cream, Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow, Surratt beauty Sculpting Brush, Becca Backlight Priming Filter

Another month gone, and another list of favourite beauty products to share with you all! This month has some really wonderful discoveries and new products, as well as a previous favourite or two that I've fallen back in love with again. Let's get right into it, shall we?

I've been setting my brows with clear gel again in efforts to keeping things really natural looking. I've tried so many, but the Make Up For Ever Brow Seal Transparent Brow Gel is one of the best I've used. It dries clear minus the shine some have, sets all day with a waterproof finish and most importantly, doesn't get crusty or crispy on the brows.
Speaking of brows Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade has made its way into my favourites again, for the 230753289562th time. I wear the colour Ash Brown, which is cool enough for my hair (finally!) and it stays bullet proof until I take it off at the end of the day. I don't get smudging, flaking, smearing or anything else that could cause brow disaster. There's a bit of a learning curve to using it, but I find the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brush #12 is the perfect accompaniment, which is why it also made it into this month's favourites!

I've got pretty tall requirements when it comes to eyeliner; I want a formula that is richly pigmented, is super smooth and creamy, sets waterproof and doesn't flake or smear. The Charlotte Tilbury Rock 'n' Kohl Iconic Liquid Eyeliner Pencil in Barbarella Brown is all of these things! Its a rich dark brown that makes the green in my eyes pop and has pretty much been my liner of choice for the last two months. This stuff has taken me through a whole summer of swelter with smearing, and even wear well on the waterline. It's easily risen to the top of my pencil liner list.

Another brush on my list, and this one was new to me this month is the Surratt Beauty Artistique Sculpting Brush. I wont lie, it's a total splurge and totally unnecessary, but this has to be one of the softest brushes I've ever used. Infact, the whole Surratt brush range is (I've already added more to my collection, shhh!). I may have even made the Mr. stroke this on his face to feel its amazing feathery softness. He was impressed, though mildly confused.

To even out my complexion and protect from sun damage, I've been trying out (and loving) the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream. With an SPF of 50 it's got wonderful sun protection, and it offers medium to full coverage which is nearly unheard of for a CC cream. It also doesn't run too pink like many of these types of creams do, and rather is more of a yellow undertone that works so much better for me. I prefer to press it on with my fingers or blend with a Beauty Blender for a smooth, seamless look.

Finally, I've been all about that glow this last month, and two products have been key in getting that youthful look minus shimmer and glitter. The Becca Backlight Priming Filter brings luminosity to a whole new level for me. This stuff adds serious radiance without making your face a disco ball, and acts as a nourishing primer as well. It can also be tapped onto cheekbones after makeup for added glow, but I generally don't need that if I've layered it on top of my other favourite, Charlotte's Magic Cream. The cream that inspired an entire line, I might secretly think it actually is a little jar of magic. It soothes, smoothes, adds glow and evens complexion with a slew of wonderful, good for skin ingredients. I've had good skin days ever since...
