I've been having plenty of fun playing with a new customizable eyeshadow palette this week so naturally it had to be included in my favourite look of the week for the #FridayFace post. Perhaps something I would normally associate with Autumn, I've been all about the burnished plums and rose golds lately. Here's what I used to get the look:
It's been H-O-T around here lately, so its been lightweight bases for me! I've been slapping on my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua with my fingers to get 'er done.
To give a bit more shape back into my face I am still loving my NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette for contouring and highlighting my cheekbones lightly. I'm not going for Kim K here people. I've then put a bit of colour on the cheeks with a pop of Illamasqua Blusher in Tremble, a long time favourite.
Eyes
I've been using my trusty Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Burnished Bronze to smudge all over the lid for a nice coppery plum base that won't melt away. Then the play time comes in with the new Buxom Customizable Eyeshadow Bar - six shades I picked out myself (review to come this week, but a heads up: they're all kinds of gorgeous!). I swept Glitz Factor in the outer crease, patted Mink Magnet on the lid and buffed Filthy Rich in the outer corner.
I completed the look with a smudging of the purple plum Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Pencil in Delinquent on the lower lash line, and Demolition on the upper lash line. Lashings of Benefit's Roller Lash Mascara brought it all home!
Lips
I've been going natural this week with just some Jack Black Mint Lip Balm (it has SPF which was very needed in this weather!)
Would you wear a look like this? What's been your go-to look recently?
