Favourites | The Best in Beauty for April 2015

april 2015 makeup and beauty favourites. kat von d mad max brown, dior star foundation, benefit gimme brow, mac paint pot, beauty blender, clinique melon pop,

It's been a little quieter around here these last couple weeks, but that doesn't mean I haven't be loving several makeup products this month. I've rounded up a handful of new and old discoveries that I've been reaching for constantly this month to share with you, so let's take a look!

I've been loving two base central products for April. One is my Dior Star Foundation which I always seem to remember how much I love the minute I wear it; It's just really good stuff folks. The other I really enjoy using with said foundation: my Beauty Blender Sponge. It brings this base to a whole new level of smooth application.

I've had a real thing for peach lately (or just always, whatevs) and I've been reaching for everything peach hued from lips to cheeks and even eyes. On the cheeks and lips I've been rocking and loving Clinique Lip+Colour in Melon Pop (a new line of lippies that are utterly weightless and delightful to wear) and the corresponding Melon Pop Cheek Pop Blush by Clinique. Both are a lovely soft peach that really has a feminine touch.
On the eyes I've been reaching more and more for my Mac Paint Pot in Perky - a creamy peach that makes the green in my eyes pop. I love that these pat on with a finger and then set all day, but that they also make great bases for shadows in the same colour family which can be notoriously pigment challenged.

Another eye product I've been wearing constantly since I got my hands on it is the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Mad Max Brown. It's no secret here on GLG that I love the original black, but this matte blackened brown looks amazing with peaches and champagnes and has the same amazing brush tip and lasting power that the original does. I raved about it in this post.

Finally, but certainly the most used probably in the entire pile is my Benefit Gimme Brow. Everytime I think I can live without this product I am reminded just how amazing it is. For someone like myself who has sparse brows naturally, the plumping fibres really do cheat the look of fuller brows. Even if I fill my brows in perfectly with another product, I always set them with this to make them look 'real' again, if that makes sense.

What were your favourite products this month? Did you try anything new, or rediscover anything old?
