TRUE ROSE GOLD | Ardency Inn Modster Manuka Honey Enriched Pigments

Rose Gold is a term that gets thrown around a lot lately in the beauty world. It seems to be the coveted hue of choice these days, but I find often products with the name don't really match the the true sense of the colour. Completely by fluke I stumbled across these shadows the other day in my local Sephora and let's just say, it was love at first swatch...

ARDENCY INN is a newer brand at Sephora and i haven't paid much attention to it previously. When I saw that they had a new line, their Modster Manuka Honey Enriched Pigments and one of the shades was aptly named Rose Gold I was instantly intrigued. I swatched it on my hand and was blown away by the pigmentation and the colour complexity. It was a true rose gold - rosey coppery golden goodness that seems to shift in the light beautifully.

Now, I'll honestly say I don't love it when brands advertise things like "manuka honey enriched" "infused with green tea extract" "with argan oil" etc because I find it all gimmicky and latching on to the hot ingredient du jour. Does the Manuka Honey do anything here? Not a damn clue, but I could care less because the pigmentation of this is excellent; Buttery and soft without any powderyness or chalkyness whatsoever. The wear time is excellent, sticking around all day without a primer and no creasing.

Packaging wise its a cute black pot with magnetic close and is quite compact (yet still has 1.7grams of product while MAC eyeshadows are 1.5 grams and the packaging is almost double the depth) at about 1cm tall making them easy to pack around in your makeup bag.

There are 12 shades currently available in this line, and they retail at $24 CAD each. I can definitely see myself picking up a couple more shades, and hope they continue to expand the line!

Have you tried these pressed pigments yet? What new launches are you loving right now?
