I love a good palette, there's no doubt about it when you see my ridiculous makeup hoarding collection. Not nearly enough brands do blush palettes in my opinion - I am so much more likely to break from a makeup rut if there are out-of-my-comfort-zone shades conveniently packaged alongside some great neutrals and everyday colours. Diversity, ya know?
So when the Too Faced Love Flush Blush Wardrobe* showed up I danced a little jig and let out a squeal of joy (Mr. GLG knows this as Happy Makeup Dance) seeing that it had all 6 shades in the permanent range!
The Love Flush Blush Wardrobe is housed in a super slim, cardboard style packaging, so possibly not the one you want to take for travelling due to fragility (more on that later...). Each pan is shaped like a heart, as is the full sized Love Flush Blushes, and set on a very aesthetically pleasing coloured matched backdrop. The pans of product are 2 grams each, as opposed to the full size which are 6 grams so the price works out to be about the same as buying two full sized shades (but getting to try six instead!)
When it comes to wearability, I don't think there is a dud in the lot. Whilst some brands are pushing envelopes and adding some incredible, yet crazy, shades into their lineup, Too Faced made this entire range to fit all skin tones, and pair with any look you can think of. I love knowing when I purchase a palette like this, that I will get use out of everything, and that some money isn't wasted on a shade might only wear once or twice (or never!). There is a wonderful mix here with neutral, cool and warm pink, coral, peach and plum and the pigment and texture of each is just as smooth and blendable as the original full sized Love Flush Blushes. There's also a great mix of finish with most having a satin finish and a couple having a slight 'glow' to them (you won't find glittery blush here folks, these are so subtle and sophisticated).
Something to note with these as I alluded to earlier is that they texture is very soft and on the loose side with these blushes, which would make me weary of travelling with them. You barely need to tap your brush into the product to get enough to buff onto both cheeks. I imagine one drop off the vanity and it could be toast, so this is one to coddle a bit perhaps. This does make them an absolute dream to blend though, so it's totally worth it in my opinion! It's also worth noting that these also carry the same 16 hour wear claim, and I will vouch that they last beautifully though I doubt 16 hours; I'd say they last a good solid 9 hours, which is more than reasonable for a powder product!
