It's Sunday which means it's time for another #SundaySplurge post! You know I love a good bargain as much as the next girl, but some products are just worth the splurge. The Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk* is totally one of those products that impresses you every single time you wear it.
Wearing the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk all over the lips on its own. |
Pillow Talk is a gorgeous neutral nude pink lip liner that by some magic seems to adapt to your lipcolour. On my hand, it looks more brown, on my lips its more peachy pink - bizarre but unique in the sense that it pretty much works for any shade of lipstick I would reach for on a regular day!
Charlotte uses the word 'velvet' to describe to the texture of her Lip Cheat Lip Liners, and I would agree wholeheartedly; It glides on almost balm like without any tugging or dry texture. Beyond the silky feel, these are also waterproof and feather proof, and again I would agree. This gives just enough definition to my lips where needed, and makes for an amazing base on the lips for lipstick or gloss. You can see I am just wearing Pillow Talk on its own in the picture, which is gorgeous all on its own! I had worried the creamy formula would mean I would be sharpening this daily, but I've worn this now 7 or 8 times and still haven't sharpened my original pencil.
I can honestly say I was never the type that truly saw the need for lip liner until recent years. I always found them too harsh, too obvious or generally just too early 90's, if you know what I mean. I've always had fairly plump lips, so I never needed liner to over line or exaggerate lips, but my upper lip can lack definition sometimes. The Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk literally fixes that in seconds. Totally worth the splurge for the smoothing, velvety texture hands down!
What was your recent splurge? Have you tried the Lip Cheat Lip Liners?
