I'll be the first to admit that bareMinerals isn't the first display I head for when I shop for beauty bits. Besides their Ready Eyeshadows (which are ah-mazing for the most part) I find the range not really striking a fancy in me. So when I got a chance to try a half pint version of one of their Marvelous Moxie lipsticks I took it, knowing I probably wouldn't have bought it on my own. Sometimes however, I am wrong....
bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie in Speak Your Mind is a gorgeous creamy mid tone rosy pink - very much your lips but pinker. Sephora describes it as "Bubble Gum Pink" and I am going to have to respectfully disagree. The texture is slightly thick and creamy, I would say similar to the Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks. It felt moisturizing upon application, but settles to a bit more of a satin finish which might need reapplying to keep from settling and drying out, in this particular shade anyways.
I would say one of my only complaints about this line is the colour selection. With 18 shades (but only 12 at Sephora) it covers pink nude and reds repeatedly, but I wish there was a good peach option as well as a coral.
Priced at $23 CND I'd say you get a really nicely pigmented (all the shades I swatched were very pigmented) lippie with sleek albeit slightly cheap plasticky packaging (for $3 more you get the chic, and more expensive looking packaging of Urban Decay or Too Faced, both of which have a "worth your money feel" in the hand, gorgeous creamy texture and broader shade range... just sayin)
