ALL TIME FAVOURITES | Mac Eyeshadows

Mac is just one of those brands I know I can trust when it comes to eyeshadow. With way more hits then ever possible misses, I've amassed quite the collection. We wont count, ok?
There are a few shades though that I've purchased again and again, or have made it into cult-never-want-to-use-it-up status.

Starting in the top left:

Blanc Type - For me this is the ultimate pigmented creamy matte ivory shade. No other ( Vanilla, Brule etc) has the pigment and buttery texture this one does. I will forever repurchase!

Phloof! - A pearly pinky beige that is the ultimate inner corner brightener. I've bought it over and over, and it just seems to adapt to any shade I pair it with.

Kid - the perfect blending out shade - it warms up a smokey eye, softens transitions from light to dark and gives subtle crease definition on days when you don't want to put in any effort.

Middle Row L-R:

Digit - A pale lilac that actually has great pigmentation. I've repurchased this so many times and it always makes my eyes look super green. Purple lovers take note, this one is an underdog in the pan, but so gorgeous and brightening on the lids!

Trax - the first Mac shadow I ever repurchased! This pulls plum in some lights, and more golden pink in others, and every time I wear it someone compliments me on my eyes. Not my eye makeup, my actual eyes. Worth every penny this one!

Beauty Marked - One of the best shadow turned eyeliners ever. Deep dark with gorgeous plum shimmer; some days I wear this just as a liner with Blanc Type and feel completely pulled together!

Handwritten - The most gorgeous buttery smooth chocolate brown. I love this for a good smokey eye; it never looks muddy but rather rich and sultry.

Early Morning - WARNING, this was a long ago limited edition shadow that I have been hoarding ever since. It is the perfect smooth richly pigmented mid tone grey. Sounds boring? I promise you it isn't! It's hard to find a grey that isn't too blue, too silver or too brown. This one is utter perfection. Dear Mac people if you're listening, bring it back, 'k??

Typographic - The perfect charcoal. What Carbon let me down, Typographic has more than made up for. The pigment is lovely, and it makes the easiest smokey eye, or easy peasy shadow liner.

Copperplate - not quite brown, not quite grey, just a perfect blend of them both making this shadow so versatile. I love this in the crease with black winged liner for a mod 60's look. It just goes with everything folks!

Tell me what your favourite Mac shadows are in the comments below! Do you have one that you have been cherishing because it was discontinued or was limited edition? Let me know!
